The short version: we collect only what live golf scoring needs — your email to sign you in, your team and score info to run the leaderboard, and (if you turn them on) a push token to send score alerts. We don't run ads, we don't sell data, and spectators can browse public leaderboards without an account.
Who we are
Cyberdine Golf is a live-scoring service for golf leagues and tournaments, operated by Cyberdine Consulting (Cody Berdine), Buffalo–Niagara region, NY. Contact: cody.berdine@cyberdineconsulting.com.
What we collect
- Account info: your email address, used for passwordless sign-in (a 6-digit code is emailed to you). No passwords are stored.
- League & team info: team name, player display names, optional phone number for event-day contact, and the emails a captain authorizes to enter scores.
- Scores and stats: hole-by-hole scores and optional stats (putts, fairways, drives) you or your team submit — this is the product; it appears on your league's leaderboard.
- Scorecard photos: if you attach one, it's stored to verify the round. If you use ✨ auto-fill, the photo is processed by an AI service to read the numbers, then handled like any other scorecard photo.
- Push notifications (optional): if you enable them, we store a device push token tied to your email, plus your notification preferences. Turn categories off in the app, or notifications entirely in your phone's Settings — we delete the token when you sign out.
- Basic device info: platform (iOS/Android) and device model alongside the push token, for troubleshooting delivery.
We do not collect your location, contacts, or browsing history, and there are no third-party advertising or tracking SDKs in the app.
How we use it
- Run your league or event: leaderboards, weekly results, contests, recaps.
- Sign you in and let your team manage its own info.
- Send the notifications you've opted into (score posts, results, contest updates, reminders).
- Verify submitted scores against scorecard photos.
Who else touches the data
We use a small set of service providers to run the product: Supabase (database, authentication, file storage), Expo (push notification delivery), Resend (sign-in code emails), Anthropic (AI reading of scorecard photos you submit for auto-fill), and Netlify (website hosting). Each receives only what's needed for its job. We never sell personal data, and we don't share it with advertisers.
Leaderboards are public by design: team names, player display names, scores, and contest results for your league or event are visible to anyone with the league's page or app. Emails and phone numbers are never shown publicly.
Sponsors
Leagues may display sponsor logos and messages. Sponsors receive aggregate exposure stats (e.g. impression counts) — never your personal information.
Retention & deletion
Scores and standings are kept as the league's historical record. To remove your account email, photos, or other personal info, email us at the address above and we'll take care of it. Push tokens are deleted on sign-out and pruned automatically when a device stops accepting notifications.
Children
The service is intended for adult league and event participants and is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we'll update this page and note the new effective date above.
